Love the power, love the Touchbar, love the ESC key on the left of the touchbar and the improved keyboard, cooling and speakers compared to the older 15" Macs. This model is tried and tested with high performance multi-core Intel Core processors, either the 6-Core 12-Thread Core i7 or (our favourite!) the 8-Core 16-Thread Core i9 for that extra oomph.

Drastic redesign over the older 2018/19 15-inch Macbook Pros, improved cooling, speakers, keyboard and performance.

Next level up is the 16-inch Macbook Pros M1 Pros but they're significantly more expensive and unlike with this model, you cannot bootcamp & dual boot with Windows 10 Pro.

Whichever specification 16-inch Macbook Pro you choose, you have an option of 6-Cores 12-Threads on the Core i7 and 8-Cores and 16-Threads on the Core i9 where both are paired with a dedicated AMD Radeon Pro Graphics allowing for a super-fast Mac that excels at both CPU-Intensive tasks like CFD and GPU-Intensive tasks like Adobe Photoshop.

This Mac natively supports the latest macOS Sequoia and has the added bonus of natively being able to run Windows also via Bootcamp taking full advantage of the hardware.

TA1 Review

I've used the 16-inch Core i7 and the Core i9 Model for studying Computer Science at University. The big screen along with a split window app like 'Magnet' makes this perfect for doing many things at once and not requiring extra screens on the go.

They are great for running Multi-Core Stencil Computations like Lattice Boltzmann and training AI Models on the GPU, running CFD Code and also doing AutoDesk Maya 3D Modelling work as well.
