Worn batteries, broken screens, dead keyboards
The common fleet faults. All repaired in-house, so a Mac that would fetch pennies as "spares or repair" returns a proper refurbished price.
TA1 Renewed · For businesses, schools & IT teams · UK-wide
Clearing a batch of MacBooks, iMacs or Mac minis? We handle the whole job: collection, inspection, secure data sanitisation, repair and resale, from one Mac refurbishment team in Somerset. Every Mac is internally tested, faulty ones are repaired rather than scrapped, and you get the maximum resale value back, with your data gone for good.
Apple Mac remarketing for any UK organisation with Macs it no longer needs. If your fleet is being refreshed, your lease is ending, or a cupboard of old MacBooks is quietly losing value, we turn it back into money and a clean paper trail.
You send us a rough list (model, year, roughly how many, and whether they power on). We do everything else, and you hear back at every step.
We book an insured courier to your office, school or warehouse, or collect ourselves across the South West. Every Mac is logged by serial number the moment it arrives, so you have a manifest from day one.
Each Mac goes through the same bench tests we run on every Mac we sell: it is opened, checked internally, and tested across battery, display, logic board, keyboard, ports, speakers, camera and wireless. Nothing is graded from the outside only.
Activation Lock, Find My and MDM enrolment are released with you, then every drive is securely erased and a fresh macOS installed. You receive a data sanitisation certificate for each serial number for your records.
Faulty Macs are repaired by our own team using genuine Apple displays and parts, batteries are replaced where they have worn, and every unit is cleaned and graded. A Mac that would be scrap elsewhere becomes a saleable one here.
Macs are sold through ta1macstore.co.uk, our Amazon and eBay outlets and the reseller network we have supplied for 15 years. You get a serial-level report covering grade, data status, repairs made and the value returned.
Most bulk MacBook buyers test the power button and the screen. We open each Mac up, because a hidden fault found now is worth more repaired than discovered by a buyer later. Each unit gets the same internal tests as our retail stock.
If it isn't good enough to carry our own 12-month warranty, it isn't good enough to sell on your behalf.
Secure data sanitisation is built into the process, not bolted on. Nothing is listed, sold or passed to a reseller until its drive has been erased, verified and certified against the serial number.
Everything happens on our own bench in Taunton, Somerset, by the same small team that has refurbished Macs for resellers for 15 years.
This is the part most Mac buyback and ITAD services skip. A MacBook with a dead battery, a cracked display or a liquid spill is usually written off at scrap value. Our repair team fixes it, with genuine Apple parts, and it sells as a graded refurbished Mac instead.
The common fleet faults. All repaired in-house, so a Mac that would fetch pennies as "spares or repair" returns a proper refurbished price.
We hold a stock of original Apple displays and components, harvested from Macs that were genuinely beyond saving. No aftermarket panels, no mystery batteries.
Each repair is costed against the Mac's resale value before we touch it. If a fix would not pay for itself, we tell you, and the unit is harvested for parts and recycled instead.
Reuse beats recycling, and recycling beats a skip. Remarketing your Macs keeps working hardware in use for years, and whatever genuinely cannot be reused is stripped for parts and the remainder recycled responsibly rather than landfilled.
Your batch report shows how many units were reused, repaired, harvested for parts or recycled, which is useful evidence for sustainability reporting, tenders and procurement questionnaires.
We quote on your list, confirm on inspection and pay for the whole batch, faulty units included. Quickest and simplest: one invoice, one payment, done.
We repair, grade and sell each Mac through our channels and pay you an agreed share of the sale price as units sell. More return, slightly longer timeline, full visibility per serial.
Full VAT paperwork either way. TA1 Renewed Ltd is VAT registered and does not sell under the margin scheme, so everything is invoiced properly.

"Send me a rough list, even a photo of the pile. Models, years, how many, and whether they switch on. I'll come back with a straight answer on what they're worth and how we'd collect them."
No. We regularly take single Macs from sole traders and batches of hundreds from larger organisations. Collection is simplest from around five units, but talk to us either way.
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio and Mac Pro, Intel and Apple silicon, working or faulty. Ask about iPads and iPhones; we can often include them in the same collection.
Yes. We arrange insured courier collection nationwide and collect in person across Somerset and the South West. Pallet collections can be arranged for larger clearances.
Macs still locked to an Apple ID or enrolled in MDM (Jamf, Intune, Apple Business Manager and so on) cannot be resold. We walk your admin through releasing them, usually in minutes, and flag any serials that still need attention in the manifest.
Apple silicon and T2 Macs are cryptographically erased, which destroys the keys that protect the drive. Older Intel Macs are securely wiped across the whole drive. Every Mac then gets a fresh macOS install, and you receive a certificate per serial number.
Usually yes. Our repair team fixes screens, batteries, keyboards, ports and liquid damage using genuine Apple parts, so a faulty Mac is valued as a repairable one rather than scrap. Anything beyond economic repair is harvested for parts and recycled.
Collection is normally booked within a few working days. Once the Macs arrive, a batch of around a hundred is inspected, data-sanitised and reported on within 3 days at most; allow up to a week for larger or more complex batches. Outright purchases are paid on inspection; remarketed units pay out as they sell.
A serial-level manifest at collection, then a final report listing each Mac's model, condition grade, test results, data sanitisation status, any repairs carried out and the value returned, plus a reuse and recycling summary for your sustainability records.
